Board of Park Trustees

The Board of Park Trustees is responsible for governing, maintaining, and developing the Village of Lewisburg parks and recreation areas. The Board of Park Trustees seeks to preserve, protect, maintain, improve and enhance our natural resources and recreational opportunities on behalf of the residents of the Village of Lewisburg. In the future, the Board of Park Trustees looks to offer leisure, recreational, and cultural activities for residents and visitors.

The Board of Park Trustees was created by the Village of Lewisburg Charter and consists of four members of the community appointed by the Village Council, and one member of the community appointed by the Tri-County North School Board. Members of the Board of Park Trustees serve four-year terms.

Lewisburg has over 30 acres of beautifully landscaped and well-maintained parks, including walking trails. The Lewisburg Park is divided in two by Twin Creek. A newly constructed pedestrian bridge connects both sides of the park and offers an unparalleled scenic view of the creek.

Currently, the Board of Park Trustees meets every 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Weather permitting, meetings are held at the pavilion on the Knapke Lane side of the Lewisburg Park. In the event of inclement weather, meetings will be held at the Lewisburg Fire Department at 116 South Commerce Street.
